The tour successfully kicked off on April 9, 2026, in Goyang, South Korea. The global demand was beautifully illustrated during the Latin American leg, where BTS successfully visited Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum at the National Palace. The group performed a completely sold-out, spectacular three-night run at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City from May 7–10, 2026, solidifying Mexico’s official inclusion on their packed itinerary.

A Historic Night at the 2026 American Music Awards

On May 25, 2026, BTS reminded everyone exactly who rules the global stage at the 2026 American Music Awards which took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The group opened the entire event in spectacular fashion with a pre-recorded performance of “Hooligan,” filmed at Allegiant Stadium. They took home major honors, winning Song of the Summer for their hit single “SWIM” along with that night’s biggest prize: Artist of the Year and Best Male K-Pop Artist. This marks their second time winning the top category, following their historic 2021 win, beating out an incredible field of global superstars.
